Unified Development Code (UDC):
The Unified Development Code for the City of Rogers is the consolidated body of rules and regulations that control what is built on the ground, as well as what uses occupy buildings and sites. It determines the form and nature of development such as the size and height of buildings, and it also includes provisions to assure new development will be a “good neighbor” to existing neighborhoods. Development outcomes for a single site contribute toward the larger land use and place making goals established in the Comprehensive Plan.
Engineering Standards:
The engineering standards in the Engineering Manual and amended Drainage Criteria Manual (DCM) include the regulations for designing and/or retrofitting streets, trails, and stormwater facilities. These elements of infrastructure are calibrated to the standards in the UDC to produce well-designed places that are both engaging and functional.
The UDC was developed through an iterative review process, factoring in feedback from citizens, community organizations, members of the business community, and city staff
